ARTWORK

Invidia

MATERIALS: Guatemala green marble, bronze

YEAR: 2017

SIZE: 110x50x35

In the fourth work of the deadly sins series, the concept of envy is interpreted by a man who, stripping off his skin, like a snake sheds his own skin, reveals his true nature: a two-faced person ready to stab someone in the back. To convey this symbolism, I inserted a dagger between the folds of the old skin.

The right hand holds a liver that will be gradually devoured with resentment and greed towards others.
