Fiberglass sculptures

Lightweight and resistant, fiberglass can be defined as a “composite material” since made by two main elements: the glass fibers, responsible for its stiffness and resistance, and the resin that, thanks to its plasticity, distributes the load over the entire structure.

Thanks to its properties, such as resistance to atmospheric agents and UV rays, low electrical and thermal conductivity, higher mechanical strength-to-weight ratio and durability. Fiberglass has a number of different applications. Sculpture is one of these: fiberglass is used both for the production of casts and the creation of fiberglass statues.
