Marble sculptures

The beauty of marble lies not only in its physical properties, but in the thorough veins that make each block unique and inimitable, a work of art itself.

Noble, faint, and bright: marble has an intrinsic gloss that brightens up every environment, increasing its aesthetic value.

This noble and natural material – which forms in nature through the process of “crystallization” – is among the pure, crystalline and metamorphic rocks coming from calcium carbonate.

In addition to being aesthetically elegant, marble is rich in chemical-physical characteristics that make it resistant to mechanical forces: its hardness makes it shock-resistant. Furthermore, it is versatile, lasting over time, little porous, poorly absorbent with a low refractive index which ensures the brightness typical of this precious stone.

Working this material to create marble sculptures is a delicate and exciting activity. Through abrasion and scratching, part of the material is removed thanks to the repeated action of friction on the surface and, step by step, the block is transformed into the shape that the sculptor desires.
